“I want to make a film!” “Nine Minutes Film” has successfully held “Nine Minutes Film Competition” for six times, whose total fund has been more than 30 million. With its help, globally 109 Chinese production teams have produced 109 short films (9mins-30mins). Some of the films have been awarded in film festivals like Tokyo Film Festival, Berlin Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
“Nine Minutes Film” is not just about solid support to filmmakers: fund, equipment, actors, locations, screenplays and mentors. Presented by Beijing Film Academy and China Film Critics Association, “Nine Minutes Film ” is a very high level professional competition with global influence. The committee is consisted of industry elites including many famous directors, screenwriters and producers: Chen Kaige, Guan Hu, Huang Dan, Huang Jianxin, Jiang Haiyang, Lu Chuan, Lu Hongshi, Lu Liang, Lv Liping, Mu Deyuan, Qin Yi, Ren Zhonglun, Tian Zhuangzhuang, Xie Fei, Xie Xiaojing, Zhang Boqing, zheng Dongtian, Zhou Xiaowen, etc. “Nine Minutes Film” is also collaborating with all large media platforms including CCTV, Tencent, Hangmei Media, Fenzhong Media. Most directors joining the competition commence their career as director. There the only thing we care is film itself. The 7th “Nine Minutes Film Competition” has been initiate. Don’t forget to add your past works’ links, noting the names of the teams and works. If there are more than one works, please upload separately. 3.In “News” “Film” “Screenplay” sections, you can download and fill the “Team Application Form” and submit to showing9@qq.com. The team must at least consist of 6 member including: a director, a photographer, a producer, a production designer, a sound recorder and an actor. 4.In “Team” section, click “building a team” as the end of the application. P.S. You must finish all the above steps in order to finish the application. All teams must submit real information. We reserve the right to cancel your application once the unreal information has been found. Team application: March 10th – July 28th. The number of qualifiers depends on the quality of the applicants. Team Selecting: First Round(24 teams): August 5th The committee will choose 24 teams from the applicants. Final (12 teams): August 10th After the first round, the committee will select the final teams. Special Invitation: First Round(24 teams): August 5th Special Invitation teams are mainly from previous competitors. There may also be some high level professional teams.
